Michelle Verret Johnson joined the William J. Hill Texas Artisans and Artists Archive as Project Manager in April, 2014. She holds a Master of Library and Information Science from Louisiana State University and a Master of Arts in History from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. Michelle worked two years as Curator/Director of the Acadian Memorial and Museum in St. Martinville, Louisiana. While in St. Martinville, she began a monthly genealogy workshop and reinstated a local DAR chapter. Her digitization experience includes the Digitizing Louisiana Newspapers Project and the Louisiana Bilingualism Research Initiative, both at LSU.
