Courtney Baron is the Teaching and Learning Librarian at Oxford College of Emory University. She leads the Research Practices team and coordinates the instruction program for the Oxford College Library. She is a member of the Oxford College Library's Student Employment Team and Website Team. Outside of Oxford College Library, she serves on the Emory Libraries' Information Literacy Framework Task Force, the Advisory Board for the Center of Academic Excellence at Oxford College, and the International Students Advisory Committee for Oxford College.

She received her Bachelor of Arts dual degree in Classical Archaeology and Latin from the University of Georgia and a Master of Library and Information Science degree from Valdosta State University. While in library school, she served as the Managing Editor of Hack Library School, a blog for, by, and about library students.

Baron currently serves as a member of the ACRL Arts Section Membership and Outreach Committee and ACRL Instruction Section Research and Scholarship Committee and is the Co-Moderator of ArLiSNAP, the ARLIS/NA section for art librarian students and new professionals. Her research interests include critical librarianship, visual literacy, information literacy instruction, and providing library services to the arts and humanities.
