Krystyna Matusiak

Krystyna K. Matusiak has been working as an Assistant Professor in the Library & Information Science Program (LIS) at the Morgridge College of Education since September 2011. She earned her MLIS and PhD from University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Prior to accepting her position at the University of Denver, she worked as a Digital Collections Librarian for ten years and was the Head of the Digitization Unit at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee-Libraries. She also served as a digitization consultant for projects funded by the Endangered Archive Programme at the British Library and assisted digital library projects at the Press Institute of Mongolia in Ulan Baatar, Mongolia and the Al-Aqsa Mosque Library in East Jerusalem. Krystyna’s research and teaching interest focus on digitization of cultural heritage materials, digital libraries, information behavior, and user studies. Her book, Discover Digital Libraries: Theory and Practice co-authored with Iris Xie was published in 2016.
